LEGISLATIVE AFFAIRS ACTIVITIES: TO INITIATE ACTION ON MATTERS OF CONCERN TO THE PUBLIC WELFARE; TO MAINTAIN VIGILANCE IN THE LEGISLATURE AND ANY COURT CASES REGARDING ISSUES PERTAINING TO OPHTHALMOLOGY.
MEMBER INFORMATION: TO DISCUSS PROBLEMS COMMON TO OPHTHALMOLOGISTS, INCLUDING THIRD PARTY PAYOR, MANAGED CARE, QUALITY CONTROL, OR ANY RELATED SUBJECT FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE MEMBERS, AND TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC AS TO THE ROLE OF THE OPHTHALMOLOGIST AND THEIR RELATIONSHIP TO OTHER MEDICAL PERSONNEL.
