EDUCATIONAL -THE OBJECTIVE OF THIS ORGANIZATION IS TO EDUCATE THE PEOPLE OF THE LIVES AND TIMES OF THE PIONEERS AS THEY ESTABLISHED THEMSELVES IN BARRON COUNTY.

THE BARRON COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY IS MADE UP OF VOLUNTEERS WHO SPEND MUCH TIME KEEPING THE PIONEER VILLAGE IN SHAPE AS WELL AS CONDUCTING TOURS OF THE VILLAGE.THE OBJECTIVE OF THIS ORGANIZATION IS TO EDUCATE THE PEOPLE OF THE LIVES AND TIMES OF THE PIONEERS AS THEY ESTABLISHED THEMSELVES IN BARRON COUNTY.WE HAVE TWO MAIN EVENTS THAT PUSH OUR OBJECTIVE. IN THE SPRING WE HAVE OVER 1600FOURTH GRADE ELEMENTARY STUDENTS FROM THE AREA GO THROUGH THE VILLAGE UNDER THE DIRECTION OF THE VOLUNTEERS, THEIR TEACHERS, AND THEIR PARENT CHAPERONES. IN THE SUMMER WE HAVE HERITAGE DAYS IN WHICH THE VOLUNTEER DRESS AND BRING TO LIFE THE PIONEER VILLAGE FOR FAMILIES TO APPRECIATE THE LIVES AND TIMES OF THE PIONEERS. VOLUNTEERS BRING THEIR PIONEER HANDIWORK SKILLS TO THE PIONEER VILLAGE AS WELL AS LOCAL ENTERTAINMENT IS PROVIDED.
