GCLAS MISSION IS TO ENRICH THE LIVES OF UNDERSERVED, AT-PROMISE CHILDREN, YOUTH,AND FAMILIES THROUGH EARLY EDUCATION, YOUTH DEVELOPMENT, AND COMMUNITYOUTREACH, WHICH WILL CONTRIBUTE TO SELF-SUFFICIENT, PRODUCTIVE INDIVIDUALS.

EARLY EDUCATION CALIFORNIA STATE PRESCHOOL PROGRAM (CSPP) IS AN AGE AND DEVELOPMENTALLY-APPROPRIATE PROGRAM DESIGNED TO FACILITATE THE TRANSITION TO KINDERGARTEN FOR THREE AND FOUR OLD CHILDREN IN EDUCATIONAL DEVELOPMENT, HEALTH SERVICES, SOCIAL SERVICES, NUTRITIONAL SERVICES, PARENT EDUCATION, AND PARENT PARTICIPATION.GENERAL CHILD CARE AND DEVELOPMENT (CCTR) PROVIDES DIRECT SERVICES TO ELIGIBLE CHILDREN AS DEFINED IN CALIFORNIA WELFARE AND INSTITUTION CODE. PRIORITY WILL BE GIVEN TO APPLICANTS WITH INFANTS AND TODDLERS IN UNDERSERVED AREAS AS IDENTIFIED BY THE LOCAL PLANNING COUNCIL.


YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PROJECT LEAYD (LEADERS IN ENRICHMENT OF ADOLESCENTS AND YOUTH DEVELOPMENT) STRENGTHENS AND PROMOTES POSITIVE, HEALTHY LIFESTYLES AND ENCOURAGES RESPONSIBLE DECISION-MAKING AMONG AT-RISK YOUTH. IN ADDITION, READY TO RISE FUNDING DECREASES YOUTH INTERACTIONS WITH THE JUSTICE SYSTEM, A PUBLIC-PRIVATE PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN THE CALIFORNIA COMMUNITY FOUNDATION, LIBERTY HILL, AND LOS ANGELES COUNTY PROBATION DEPARTMENT, AND THE PREVENTION OF SUBSTANCE ABUSE USE PROGRAM WITH SIERRA FOUNDATION
