CULTURAL SURVIVAL ENVISIONS A FUTURE THAT RESPECTS AND HONORS INDIGENOUS PEOPLES INHERENT RIGHTS AND DYNAMIC CULTURES, DEEPLY AND RICHLY INTERWOVEN IN LANDS, LANGUAGES, SPIRITUAL TRADITIONS, AND ARTISTIC EXPRESSION, ROOTED IN SELF-DETERMINATION AND SELF-GOVERNANCE. CULTURAL SURVIVAL SUPPORTS A MOVEMENT OF EMPOWERED INDIGENOUS PEOPLES ORGANIZING THEIR COMMUNITIES TO ENGAGE THE INTERNATIONAL PROCESSES, NATIONAL POLICIES AND HUMAN RIGHTS BODIES TO RESPECT, PROTECT, AND FULFILL THEIR RIGHTS. OUR ORGANIZATION IS INDIGENOUS-LED AND HAS A DIVERSE BOARD OF DIRECTORS BRINGING EXPERIENCES FROM THE INDIGENOUS AND NON-INDIGENOUS WORLDS TO INFORM OUR PERSPECTIVES AND SCOPE OF WORK.CULTURAL SURVIVAL'S WORK IS PREDICATED ON THE UN DECLARATION ON THE RIGHTS OF INDIGENOUS PEOPLES AND FOCUSES ON GRANTMAKING, CAPACITY BUILDING, ADVOCACY, AND COMMUNICATIONS TOWARDS THE GOAL OF ADVANCING HOLISTIC, RIGHTS-BASED SUPPORT FOR INDIGENOUS COMMUNITIES AT THE NEXUS OF FIVE THEMES: CLIMATE CHANGE SOLUTIONS, LANDS AND LIVELIHOODS, CULTURES AND LANGUAGES, INDIGENOUS COMMUNITY MEDIA, AND THE LEADERSHIP OF INDIGENOUS WOMEN AND YOUTH.
