STATEMENT OF PROGRAM SERVICE ACCOMPLISHMENTSGPSS, INC. IS THE MAJOR BODY FOR ADVOCATING GRADUATE AND PROFESSIONAL STUDENT CONCERNS TO THE ADMINISTRATION OF YALE UNIVERSITY. IN THAT LIGHT, THE GPSS DOES NOT ADVOCATE CONCERNS OF ANY SCHOOL IN PARTICULAR, BUT SEEKS TO ADVOCATE ISSUES THAT EQUALLY AFFECT GRADUATE AND PROFESSIONAL STUDENTS ACROSS THE UNIVERSITY. AN IMPORTANT ASPECT OF THE GPSS, INC. MISSION IS BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS WITH THE GREATER COMMUNITY, HERE IN NEW HAVEN, AND BEYOND. GPSS, INC. STRIVES TO BRING GRADUATE AND PROFESSIONAL STUDENTS FROM ALL SCHOOLS TOGETHER AT SOCIAL FUNCTIONS, THROUGH THREE PRIMARY AVENUES THAT HAVE BEEN ESTABLISHED TO ACHIEVE THIS GOAL: LARGE-SCALE PARTIES, SHORT TRIPS, AND DINNERS. THE SENATE HELPS TO MAINTAIN AND IMPROVE THE GPSCY. FOUR SENATORS REPRESENT YALE STUDENTS ON THE GYPSCY SUPERVISORY COUNCIL, ALONG WITH THREE ADMINISTRATORS FROM THE PROVOSTS OFFICE AND THE OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT. TOGETHER, THIS GROUP DIRECTS THE USE OF GYPSCY, ITS DEVELOPMENT AS A STUDENT CENTER AND THE FUNDING OF ITS PROGRAMS.
