AS A COLLEGE CAMPUS SORORITY, WE BUILD CONFIDENT WOMEN OF CHARACTER WHO CELEBRATE SISTERHOOD AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE WORLD AROUND US. OUR VISION IS TO INSPIRE THE HIGHEST TYPE OF WOMANHOOD. OUR GUIDING PRINCIPLES ARE: WE PROMOTE LIFELONG COMMITMENT, INTELLECTUAL AND PERSONAL GROWTH AND SERVICE TO HUMANITY. WE PERPETUATE OUR HERITAGE AS WE COMMIT TO THE GROWTH OF OUR SORORITY. WE FOSTER ENDURING FRIENDSHIPS. WE ADVOCATE ETHICAL BEHAVIOR, RESPECT, AUTHENTICITY, ACCOUNTABILITY AND INTEGRITY. WE ASPIRE TO EXCELLENCE IN ALL THAT WE DO.

GAMMA PHI BETA SORORITY HAD FIVE MEMBERS OF THE AHC BOARD, ELIZABETH BICKLEY, NANCY KUEHLER, CINDY PENZLER, SALLY BECK, AND ELIZABETH SCHEIB, ATTEND THE GAMMA PHI BETA INTERNATIONAL 150TH BI-ANNUAL MEETING HELD IN CHICAGO, IL WHERE WE RECEIVED THE DISTINCTION OF RECEIVING AFFILIATED HOUSE CORPORATION OVERALL EXCELLENCE AWARD AND AFFILIATED HOUSE CORPORATION/COLLEGIATE CHAPTER RELATIONS EXCELLENCE DUE TO OUTSTANDING FACILITY MANAGEMENT AND COMMITMENT TO THE ONGOING EXCELLENCE OF OUR COLLEGIATE CHAPTER. GAMMA PHI BETA SUCCESSFULLY WRAPPED UP OUR 81ST CONVENTION IN CHICAGO, ILLINOIS, WHERE WE CELEBRATED A MOMENTOUS MILESTONE: OUR 150TH ANNIVERSARY. IT WAS AN INCREDIBLY EMPOWERING WEEK FILLED WITH SISTERS ACROSS GENERATIONS CELEBRATING OUR TRUE AND CONSTANT SISTERHOOD, CONDUCTING CRITICAL SORORITY BUSINESS AND CREATING NEW MEMORIES TO LAST A LIFETIME. WE ALSO HAD 5 COLLEGIATE MEMBERS ATTEND CONVENTION: KATE HIMMELBERG (PRESIDENT); SOPHIA HUDSON (EVP); LEAH HOLTON (FVP), MEGAN CHILDERS, MAREN RAPP.
THE AHC CONTINUES TO INVEST OVER $100,000 EACH SUMMER TO ENHANCE THE FACILITY IN ORDER TO PROVIDE A COMFORTABLE, SAFE, AND WELCOMING HOME TO OUR ACTIVE CHAPTER MEMBERS. WE CURRENTLY MAINTAIN A MEMBERSHIP BASE OF 280+ COLLEGIATE MEMBERS AND JUST PLEDGED 97 NEW MEMBERS WHO WILL BE INITIATED IN OCTOBER, 2024. CURRENTLY OUR FACILITY IS HOUSING 75 MEMBERS WHILE THE REMAINDER OF THE MEMBERS LIVE OUTSIDE OF THE CHAPTER IN DORMS AND APARTMENTS.
GAMMA PHI BETA SORORITY'S ACTIVE CHAPTER RECEIVED KU PANHELLENIC'S DISTINGUISHED "CHAPTER OF THE YEAR" AWARD FOR ALL COLLEGIATE CHAPTERS DUE TO EXCELLENCE IN THE FOLLOWING CATEGORIES: PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT, ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT, HOLISTIC WELLNESS, DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION, AND CIVIC AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT.
