KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS IS AN ORGANIZATION THAT IS DEEPLY ROOTED IN THE CATHOLIC FAITH. ITS GOALS ARE BASED UPON CHARITY, UNITY, FRATERNATY AND PATRIOTISM. ALL OF THESE GOALS PROVIDE GREAT BENEFITS TO THE MEMBERS, THEIR FAMILIES AND THE CATHOLIC COMMUNITY AS A WHOLE. THIS COUNCIL WORKS CLOSELY WITH ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST CATHOLIC CHURCH IN YPSILANTI, MI TO PROVIDE FUNDS AND SERVICES FOR VARIOUS PROJECTS IN THAT PARISH COMMUNITY.

Part 3 - Line 4a

THE COUNCIL PROVIDES SOME FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR SEMINARIANS STUDYING FOR THE PRIESTHOOD. THIS MONEY AIDS BETWEEN 5 AND 6 SEMINARIANS WITH THEIR NEEDS WHILE IN SCHOOL. IN ADDITION, THE COUNCIL PROVIDES AN ANNUAL CONTRIBUTION TO THE DIOCESE OF LANSING TO PROMOTE CATHOLIC VOCATIONS WITHIN THE CATHOLIC COMMUNITIES OF THE DIOCESE.


THE COUNCIL GIVES MONETARY ASSISTANCE TO A LOCAL CATHLOLIC ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN THE FORM OF SCHOLARSHIPS TO FAMILIES EXPERIENCING TEMPORARY FINANCAL DIFFICULTIES IN MEETING THEIR TUITION OBLIGATIONS.


THE COUNCIL GIVES MONETARY SUPPORT TO PROGRAMS WITHIN THE ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST CATHOLIC PARISH. - FOOD CUPBOARD = 2,405
