PROVIDE AN ORGANIZATION TO COLLECT, PROTECT, RESTORE, CLEAN, INDEX AND DISPLAY ARTIFACTS INDIGENOUS TO PLUMAS COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, FOR VIEWING BY THE GENERAL PUBLIC. THE MUSEUM BUILDING IS OWNED BY PLUMAS COUNTY AND THE CURATOR IS A COUNTY EMPLOYEE. OPERATIONS OF THE MUSEUM ARE DIRECTED BY A BOARD OF TRUSTEES WHO SERVE WITHOUT PAY OF EXPENSE REIMBURSEMENTS. SAID ARTIFACTS INCLUDE PERSONAL PROPERTY AND ALSO INCLUDE SOME HISTORICAL BUILDINGS. THE MUSEUM ALSO PROVIDES RESEARCH ARCHIVES AND SELLS HISTORICAL BOOKS AND PAPERS RELATED TO THE HISTORY OF PLUMAS COUNTY, CALIFORNIA.
