THE MISSION OF THE CALIFORNIA NURSES FOUNDATION (CNF) IS TO ASSIST IN THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION AND SCIENCE OF PROFESSIONAL NURSING, AND TO ASSIST THE PROFESSION IN MAINTAINING AND IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF ITS SERVICE TO THE PUBLIC.

SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMS: THE CALIFORNIA NURSES FOUNDATION ADMINISTERS SEVERAL SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMS DESIGNED TO PROVIDE CONTINUING FUNDS FROM WHICH SCHOLARSHIPS ARE MADE TO CURRENT REGISTERED NURSE (RN) STUDENTS AND LICENSED RNS FOR ACADEMIC PREPARATION AND CONTINUING EDUCATION.


CALIFORNIA NURSES FOUNDATION, IN FULFILLMENT OF OUR MISSION TO ASSIST THE PROFESSION IN MAINTAINING AND IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF ITS SERVICE TO THE PUBLIC, RECEIVES CONTRIBUTIONS AND GRANTS THAT ARE NOT RELATED TO SCHOLARSHIPS OR DISASTER RELIEF. EXPENSES IN THIS CATEGORY ARE USED FOR SPECIFIC ONE TIME PURPOSES, SUPPORT OF TEACHING AND TRAINING FOR NURSES, AND FOR OVERHEAD AND ADMINISTRATION COSTS OF THE ORGANIZATION.


CNF DISASTER RELIEF FUND: DURING THIS FISCAL YEAR, THE DISASTER RELIEF FUND SUPPORTED THE RN RESPONSE NETWORK (RNRN), A PROJECT OF THE CALIFORNIA NURSES FOUNDATION, WHICH CONTINUED TO BUILD AND COORDINATE A NATIONAL NETWORK OF DIRECT-CARE RN VOLUNTEERS WILLING TO BE DEPLOYED TO DISASTER STICKEN AREAS WHERE AND WHEN THEY ARE NEEDED MOST.
