PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND SUPPORT OF EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATORS

PROJECTS AND COMMITTEES: SPECIAL PROJECTS ARE CARRIED OUT STATEWIDE AND IN LOCAL CHAPTERS. PROJECTS INCLUDED TRAINING FOR FAMILY CHILD CARE OWNER/OPERATORS IN PROGRAM MANAGEMENT (A TOTAL OF 47 PARTICIPANTS IN 4 SEPARATE COHORTS). ALL TRAININGS HAVE CONTINUED AS VIRTUAL BY SYNCHRONOUS DELIVERY. OREGON AFTER SCHOOL FOR KIDS CONTINUES AS A PROGRAM SUPPORTING AFTER SCHOOL PROFESSIONALS THROUGH CONFERENCES, TRAINING, PROGRAM EVALUATION AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE. SERVICE DELIVERY CONTINUED VIA VIRTUAL TRAINING, RESEARCH AND CONSULTATION THROUGHOUT THE YEAR.
CONFERENCES-ORAEYC HOLDS TWO MAJOR STATEWIDE CONFERENCES EACH YEAR, PROVIDING WORKSHOPS AND SPEAKERS IN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION. OVER 75 PROFESSIONALS ATTENDED OUR FALL CONFERENCE IN 2022. OUR SPRING 2023 WE HAD 65 IN ATTENDANCE. INDIVIDUAL TRAINING COHORTS WERE ALSO PROVIDED. IN ADDITION, LOCAL CHAPTERS SPONSOR CONFERENCES AND TRAINING EVENTS. IN 2022-2023 OVER 800 WERE SERVED.
MEMBERSHIP SUPPORT-ORAEYC MEMBERS RECEIVE EDUCATIONAL INFORMATION AND SERVICES INCLUDING INFORMATION UPDATES AND PROFESSIONAL PUBLICATIONS. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO SUPPORTS LOCAL CHAPTERS AROUND OREGON. AT JUNE 30, 2023 THERE WERE 1024 MEMBERS.
