THE KETCHIKAN AREA ARTS AND HUMANITIES COUNCIL IS THE FISCAL SPONSOR FOR 5 SMALL ARTS GROUPS IN KETCHIKAN. AS FISCAL SPONSOR KAAHC IS THE 501C3 UMBRELLA ORGANIZATION FOR THESE GROUPS, PROVIDING INSURANCE, FISCAL OVER SITE, AND ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT. PROVIDING FISCAL SPONSORSHIP ALLOWS THE GROUPS TO CREATE THEIR PROGRAMMING WHILE KAAHC ABSORBS THE MORE LABOR INTENSIVE ADMINISTRATIVE ASPECTS OF A NON PROFIT.
