OPERATES THRIFT STORES AND A FOOD BANK TO PROVIDE FOOD TO THE HUNGRY. HUNGER DOES NOT EXIST IN A VACUUM; THE ADDITIONAL CHALLENGES COMMONLY FACES BY PEOPLE IN VULNERABLE POPULATIONS LEAD TO AND EXACERBATE HUNGER. TO HELP IDENTIFY AVENUES FOR DEALING WITH THESE ADDITIONAL BURDENS, WE HAVE ADDED A CONNECTION AND REFERRAL SERVICE TO ASSIST FOOD BANK SHOPPERS IN FINDING AND ACCESSING OTHER SOCIAL SERVICES AVAILABLE TO THEM.
