THE LEHIGH COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY IS THE OFFICIAL HISTORICAL SOCIETY OF LEHIGH COUNTY, PA. WE MAINTAIN AND PRESERVE 4 HISTORICAL SITES. OUR TROXELL-STECKEL FARM MUSEUM IN WHITEHALL TOWNSHIP, PA WAS BUILT IN 1756. OUR 1770 COLONIAL STONE MANSION, KNOWN AS HISTORIC TROUT HALL IN ALLENTOWN, OUR ONE-ROOM 1893 SCHOOLHOUSE IN CLAUSSVILLE, PA, AND OUR HEADQUARTERS MUSEUM, THE 30,000 SQ. FT. LEHIGH VALLEY HERITAGE MUSEUM ARE AT THE HEART OF OUR MISSION. WE ALSO ADMINISTER TOURS AND PROGRAMS AT 3 COUNTY OWNED PROPERTIES: HAINES MILL MUSEUM, LOCKRIDGE FURNACE MUSEUM AND SAYLOR CEMENT MUSEUM. EACH YEAR WE INTERACT WITH AND EDUCATE MORE THAN 50,000 VISITORS AT ALL 7 OF THESE MUSEUM PROPERTIES. WE MAINTAIN AN ARCHIVE IN EXCESS OF 3,000,000 DOCUMENTS RELEVANT TO LEHIGH COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA. WE CARE FOR 85,000 VINTAGE PHOTOGRAPHS AND THOUSANDS OF THREE-DIMENSIONAL OBJECTS RELATING TO THE HISTORY OF OUR REGION. WE ARE THE LEADING PROVIDER OF PUBLIC HISTORY PROGRAMS IN OUR REGION.
