WE COLLECT, PRESERVE, EXHIBIT, AND INTERPRET ARTIFACTS THAT CHRONICLE THE TRAPPE AREA'S RICH AND DIVERSE HERITAGE.

HISTORIC TRAPPE IS A COMMUNITY-BASED, NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATION THAT SEEKS TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC ON THE HISTORY OF THE TRAPPE AREA (INCLUDING WHAT IS NOW COLLEGEVILLE BOROUGH, UPPER PROVIDENCE TOWNSHIP, AND PERKIOMEN TOWNSHIP) AND ITS PLACE IN THE HISTORY OF PENNSYLVANIA AND THE UNITED STATES, TO PROMOTE THE TRAPPE AREA AS A HERITAGE TOURISM DESTINATION, AND TO ENCOURAGE THE ACQUISITION, PRESERVATION, AND INTERPRETATION OF RESOURCES REPRESENTING THE HISTORY OF THE TRAPPE AREA WITHIN THE BROADER CONTEXT OF STATE AND NATIONAL HISTORY, INCLUDING THE LIFE AND LEGACY OF THE MUHLENBERG FAMILY AND THE PRESERVATION OF THEIR HISTORIC HOMES IN TRAPPE.
