RESTORATION OF THE WANAMAKER ORGAN. TOURS OF THE WANAMAKER ORGAN. SYMPOSIUM RESTORATION PROGRAM.
MUSICAL PRESENTATIONS ARE GIVEN TO THE PUBLIC ON THE WANAMAKER ORGAN, FEATURING ORGAN CLASSICS AND SPECIAL ARRANGEMENTS OF ORCHESTRAL MUSIC. POPULAR MUSIC FROM THE GREAT AMERICAN SONGBOOK IS PLAYED ON OUR WURLITZER ORGAN AND CLASSIC SILENT MOVIES ARE ACCOMPANIED FOR PUBLIC ENJOYMENT. 9 SPECIAL CONCERTS WERE HELD INCLUDING 1 VIRTUALLY, ATTENDED BY APPROXIMATELY 2,000 PEOPLE. IN ADDITION, THERE WERE TWICE DAILY CONCERTS HELD MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY, ATTENDED BY HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE.
MASTERCLASSES IN PIPE-ORGAN PLAYING ARE GIVEN TO TALENTED YOUNG PERSONS, FEATURING THE WANAMAKER ORGAN AS A TEACHING AND PRACTICE RESOURCE. 6 STUDENTS ATTENDED THE MUSIC PROGRAM.
