CONTRIBUTIONS TO COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES FOR THE IMPROVEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE BOROUGH OF SWARTHMORE - PRIMARILY LANDSCAPING PROJECTS THROUGHOUT THE BOROUGH.
SCHOLARSHIPS AND AWARDS: EDMUND JONES SCHOLARSHIP WAS AWARDED TO FOUR ELIGIBLE YOUNG MEN AND WOMEN. A "SHINE A LIGHT AWARD" WAS AWARDED TO ONE INDIVIDUAL.
PROVIDED GRANTS TO SWARTHMORE COLLEGE AND SWARTHMORE COMMUNITY CENTER. SWARTHMORE COLLEGE GRANT WAS FOR 20,000 AND WAS TO BE USED FOR THE PRESERVATION OF SWARTHMORE BOROUGH'S HISTORIC ARCHIVES. THE SWARTHMORE COMMUNITY CENTER GRANT IS FOR VARIOUS IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS. A TOTAL OF 75,000 WAS ISSUED IN 2021 AND AND ADDITIONAL 185,000 IS SCHEDULED TO BE PAID IN 2022.
