THE JANUS SCHOOL TEACHES INDIVIDUALS WITH LEARNING DISABILITIES AND HELPS THEM DEVELOP SKILLS WHICH WILL ENABLE THEM TO BE INDEPENDENT LEARNERS. THE SCHOOL SERVED 80 STUDENTS DURING THE YEAR. 4 STUDENTS GRADUATED IN JUNE 2022.WITH THE WANING OF SOME COVID VARIANTS, SOME OF THE COVID RESTRICTIONS WERE RELAXED OR ELIMINATED.
THE JANUS SCHOOL PROVIDES TUTORIAL, SPEECH LANGUAGE THERAPY, AND OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY TO ITS STUDENTS. ALL NEW STUDENTS RECEIVE A DAILY TUTORIAL AS PART OF THEIR ENROLLMENT. THOSE STUDENTS WHO ARE RECOMMENDED FOR SPEECH LANGUAGE THERAPY OR OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY MAY OBTAIN THAT SERVICE AS PART OF THEIR EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM AT THE JANUS SCHOOL.WITH THE WANING OF SOME COVID VARIANTS, SOME OF THE COVID RESTRICTIONS WERE RELAXED OR ELIMINATED.
THE JANUS SCHOOL TRANSITIONS PROGRAM HELPS TO PREPARE STUDENTS WHO, AFTER HIGH SCHOOL, ARE NOT READY TO ENTER EITHER A HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTION OR JOIN THE WORKFORCE. AT THE END OF THE '21-'22 SCHOOL YEAR, THE TRANSITION PROGRAM ENDED, WITH HOPES OF IT RESTARTING IN THE FUTURE
THE JANUS SCHOOL PROVIDES A HOT LUNCH PROGRAM TO STUDENTS AND FACULTY. APPROXIMATELY 3,500 MEALS WERE SERVED DURING THE LAST SCHOOL YEAR.
