TO BRING TOGETHER INDIVIDUALS AND AGENCIES WITHIN PA THAT HAVE A MUTUAL INTEREST IN THE FIELD OF ADULT CONTINUING EDUCATION, FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROMOTING THE DEVELOPMENT OF ADULT EDUCATION SERVICES, COORDINATING THE SERVICES OF VARIOUS AGENCIES, EVALUATING LEGISLATION, DISSEMINATING INFORMATION AND PROVIDING ACCESS TO INFORMATION ON THE LATEST "BEST" PRACTICES IN THE INDUSTRY.

IN 2014 PAACE HELD ITS ANNUAL CONFERENCE IN STATE COLLEGE, PA. THE CONFERENCE PROVIDED OVER 300 PARTICIPANTS THE OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN ABOUT CURRENT TECHNIQUES AND RESEARCH IN THE FIELDS OF FAMILY LITERACY, ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNING, ADULT BASIC AND SECONDARY EDUCATION, TECHNOLOGY, AND CAREER AND COLLEGE READINESS.
PAACE'S INVESTMENT IN GOVERNMENT RELATIONS FOCUSED ON 1) EDUCATING FEDERAL AND STATE LEGISLATORS AND ADMINISTRATIVE LEADERS ABOUT THE IMPORTANCE OF ADULT AND FAMILY LITERACY IN PENNSYLVANIA AND ITS LINKS TO BOTH WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT AND SUPPORTING THE EDUCATION OF CHILDREN BY GIVING THEIR PARENTS THE TOOLS TO ASSIST IN THEIR EDUCATION; 2) PROVIDING PAACE MEMBERS WITH INFORMATION ABOUT CURRENT AND PENDING LEGISLATION; AND 3) SHARING STRATEGIES WITH MEMBERS ON GRASSROOTS EFFORTS TO ADVOCATE FOR A
