THE ORGANIZATION CONTRIBUTES TO THE GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE BOROUGH OF MARCUS HOOK THROUGH VARIOUS COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AND REVITALIZATION INITIATIVES. THE ORGANIZATION WORKS TO IMPROVE HOUSING CONDITIONS AND PROMOTES HOMEOWNERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES. SUBSTANDARD RENTAL PROPERTIES ARE PURCHASED, RENOVATED, AND RESOLD TO OWNER-OCCUPANTS. THE MHCDC ALSO CONTRIBUTED FUNDING TO LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS WHO SHARE SIMILAR VISIONS OF COMMUNITY BETTERMENT.
