PENNSYLVANIA LEGAL AID NETWORK, INC. IS A CLIENT-CENTERED ORGANIZATION THAT PROVIDES LEADERSHIP, FUNDING, AND SUPPORT TO IMPROVE THE AVAILABILITY AND QUALITY OF CIVIL LEGAL AID AND DIRECT LEGAL SERVICES FOR LOW INCOME PEOPLE AND VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE IN PENNSYLVANIA.

SERVICE WAS PROVIDED IN 70,786 CASES.CONSUMER 5,458EDUCATION 45EMPLOYMENT 5,981FAMILY 18,736JUVENILE 1,572HEALTH 3,844HOUSING 22,700INCOME MAINTENANCE 6,597INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS 2,928MISCELLANEOUS 2,925 A BREAKOUT OF THE CASES HANDLED BY MAJOR CASE TYPE FOLLOWS: 42.5 PERCENT OF OUR CASES INVOLVED FAMILY MATTERS, 32.1 PERCENT INVOLVED SHELTER HOUSING ISSUES, 17.8 PERCENT INVOLVED INCOME ISSUES, AND 7.7 PERCENT INVOLVED CONSUMER ISSUES.GENERALLY, 70 PERCENT OF OUR CLIENTS ARE FEMALE; 60 PERCENT ARE WHITE; AND 84 PERCENT ARE BETWEEN THE AGES OF 18 AND 59.
