UWAC WORKS TO IMPROVE LIVES BY MOBILIZING THE CARING POWER OF COMMUNITIES THROUGH PROGRAMS AND INITIATIVES THAT ENSURE OUR CHILDREN ENTER SCHOOL READY TO LEARN AND GRADUATE ON TIME, THAT EVERY FAMILY IS FINANCIALLY SECURE AND THAT EVERYONE HAS GOOD HEALTH.

UWAC HELPS OTHERS AND MAKES A DIFFERENCE IN PEOPLE'S LIVES BY HELPING CHILDREN SUCCEED, STRENGTHENING AND SUPPORTING FAMILIES, PROMOTING INDEPENDENCE, IMPROVING HEALTH AND WELLNESS, AND PROVIDING A SAFETY NET FOR THE MOST VULNERABLE.


VOLUNTEER CENTER - BRINGS PEOPLE AND RESOURCES TOGETHER TO FIND CREATIVE SOLUTIONS TO COMMUNITY NEEDS. IT CONNECTS PEOPLE WITH VOLUNTEER SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES THROUGH FAMILY FRIENDLY EVENTS, INCLUDING THE MARTIN LUTHER KING SERVICE DAY, POSTAL FOOD DRIVE AND GIVE IT UP FOR GOOD SALE. THE VOLUNTEER CENTER MAINTAINS A COMPREHENSIVE DATABASE OF ON-GOING AND ONE-TIME INDIVIDUAL AND GROUP VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITES AVAILABLE IN ADAMS COUNTY.


READY TO LEARN - A COUNTY WIDE INITIATIVE WHICH FOCUSES ON PROMOTING QUALITY EARLY EDUCATION AND CARE FOR CHILDREN, PROVIDING INFORMATION TO PARENTS, EASING THE TRANSITION FROM EARLY CARE TO ELEMENTARY SCHOOL AND PROMOTING THE KEYSTONE STARS PROGRAM.
