COMMUNICATIONS TO MEMBERS AND THE PUBLIC THROUGHOUT THE YEAR THROUGH MAIL, E-MAIL, PUBLIC RELATIONS COVERING WORKPLACE ISSUES, SOCIETAL AND SAFETY ISSUES. METHODS USED WERE TELEVISION, RADIO, NEWS CONFERENCES, NEWSLETTERS AND PUBLIC EVENTS TO INFORM OUR MEMBERSHIP OF APPROXIMATELY 700,000 AS WELL AS THE GENERAL PUBLIC IN KEEPING WITH OUR MISSION STATEMENT IN REGARDS TO QUESTION 1 ABOVE.


TO FURTHER THE PROGRAMS AND POLICIES OF THE NATIONAL AFL-CIO BY AIDING WORKERS IN SECURING IMPROVED WAGES, HOURS & WORKING CONDITIONS THROUGH THE FORMING OF LABOR UNIONS; TO AID THESE UNIONS TO SECURE LEGISLATION THAT SAFEGUARDS THESE SAME PRINCIPLES; TO BUILD STRONG POLITICAL AND COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS TO PROMOTE THESE PRINCIPLES AND TO ENCOURAGE THE PRODUCTION AND CONSUMPTION OF UNION-MADE PRODUCTS AND SERVICES.


LEGISLATIVE ACTIVISIM FOR MATTERS OF VITAL INTEREST TO UNION MEMBERS ACROSS THE STATE.
