YWONDERFUL KIDS CHILDCARE PROGRAM - THIS PROGRAM PROVIDES AFFORDABLE, DEVELOPMENTALLY APPROPRIATE CARE TO CHILDREN FROM BIRTH TO AGE TWELVE IN A SAFE AND STIMULATING ENVIRONMENT TO ENABLE PARENTS TO WORK, ATTEND SCHOOL, OR JOB TRAINING, OR PARTICIPATE IN OTHER PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES. ALL INFANT AND TODDLERS ARE CARED FOR UNDER EARLY HEAD START, A NATION-WIDE INITIATIVE TO PROVIDE HIGH-LEVEL CARE FOR LOW INCOME AND AT-RISK CHILDREN. LIKEWISE, PRESCHOOL CHILDREN ARE CARED FOR UNDER PRE-K COUNTS, WHICH PROVIDES ONGOING KINDERGARTEN READINESS PROGRAMMING FOR AT-RISK CHILDREN. FOR SCHOOL AGE CHILDREN, THE YWCA PROVIDES WRAPAROUND KINDERGARTEN CARE, BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL AND NO-SCHOOL DAY CARE, AND SUMMER DAY CAMP IN SEVEN LOCATIONS.
KEPLER HALL RESIDENCE PROGRAM - THE KEPLER HALL RESIDENCE PROVIDES SAFE, AFFORDABLE HOUSING FOR LOW-INCOME WOMEN AND THEIR CHILDREN. OF OUR 36 ROOMS, 6 ARE DESIGNATED FOR EMERGENCY HOUSING AND 12 FOR SECTION 8 PERMANENT HOUSING FOR FORMERLY HOMELESS WOMEN. THE REMAINING 18 ROOMS SERVE AS LONG-TERM AFFORDABLE RENTAL HOUSING WHERE WOMEN MAY LIVE AS LONG AS THEY WISH.
THE SEXUAL ASSAULT PREVENTION AND COUNSELING CENTER - THE SEXUAL ASSAULT PREVENTION AND COUNSELING CENTER (SAPCC)IS THE DESIGNATED RAPE CRISIS CENTER FOR LANCASTER COUNTY. SERVICES INCLUDE MEDICAL ADVOCACY, LEGAL ADVOCACY, PREVENTION GROUPS, COUNSELING AND THE 24/7 RAPE CRISIS HOTLINE. COUNSELING SERVICES AND ADVOCACY ARE PROVIDED TO VICTIMS AND SURVIVORS OF SEXUAL ABUSE AND THEIR SIGNIFICANT OTHERS. PREVENTION GROUPS ARE PROVIDED TO SCHOOLS, BUSINESSES, INSTITUTIONS, FAITH-BASED GROUPS AND OTHER COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS TO BOTH EMPOWER INDIVIDUALS AND CREATE CULTURE CHANGE IN EFFORTS TO PREVENT SEXUAL VIOLENCE.
