THE OLYMPIC FOREST COALITION PROMOTES THE PROTECTION, CONSERVATION AND RESTORATION OF NATURAL FOREST ECOSYSTEMS AND THEIR PROCESSES ON THE OLYMPIC PENINSULA, INCLUDING FISH AND WILDLIFE HABITAT, AND SURROUNDING ECOSYSTEMS.

STATE FOREST PROTECTION: MONITORED & REPORTED TO THE PUBLIC ON CHANGING CONDITIONS FOR ENDANGERED SPECIES, STATE PUBLIC FOREST LANDS AND ASSOCIATED WATERS OF THE OLYMPIC PENINSULA. INCREASED PUBLIC AWARENESS OF CHANGING CONDITIONS, PUBLIC POLICY AND FOREST PRACTICES.


FEDERAL FOREST PROTECTION: MONITORED AND REPORTED TO THE PUBLIC ON CHANGING ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS ON FEDERAL FOREST LANDS AND ASSOCIATED MARINE WATERS OF THE OLYMPIC PENINSULA. INCREASED PUBLIC AWARENESS OF CHANGING HABITAT, WILDLIFE CONDITIONS, AND PUBLIC POLICY RELATED TO FEDERAL FORESTS.


OUTREACH AND EDUCATION: CREATED EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS TO INCREASE PUBLIC AWARENESS AND UNDERSTANDING, AND INFORM THE PUBLIC ABOUT ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACTS, POTENTIAL SOLUTIONS TO PROBLEMS, THROUGH WEB ARTICLES, NEWSLETTERS, PUBLIC PRESENTATIONS, AND OTHER ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS.
