THE MISSION OF CENTER FOR RESPONSIBLE FORESTRY (CRF) IS TO ACHIEVE THE PERMANENT PROTECTION OF THE LAST REMAINING LEGACY FORESTS IN WESTERN WASHINGTON BY WORKING WITH IMPACTED LOCAL COMMUNITIES AND STATE POLICYMAKERS. CRF ALSO WORKS IN PARTNERSHIP WITH OTHER CONSERVATION ORGANIZATIONS TO ACCELERATE THE ADOPTION OF STATE FOREST POLICY AND PRACTICES GROUNDED IN FOREST ECOLOGY.

CRF CONDUCTED MULTIPLE ADVOCACY CAMPAIGNS PROMOTING THE CONSERVATION OF TIMBER SALES ACROSS WESTERN WA. PROVIDED INFORMATION TO MULTIPLE COUNTY GOVERNMENTS ABOUT CONSERVATION TOOLS AVAILABLE TO THEM. ORGANIZED COMMUNITY MEMBERS TO PROVIDE PUBLIC COMMENTS AT THE BOARD OF NATURAL RESOURCES MEETINGS ADVOCATING FOR MATURE FOREST CONSERVATION. LED MULTIPLE COMMUNITY HIKES AND CULTURAL EVENTS EDUCATING THE PUBLIC ABOUT THE ECOLOGICAL IMPORTANCE OF CONSERVING MATURE FORESTS. INCREASED SOCIAL MEDIA AND COMMUNICATIONS PUBLIC EDUCATION EFFORTS.
