THE VSF(VIDEO SERVICES FORUM) IS OF SERVICE PROVIDERS, USERS AND MANUFACTURERS DEDICATED TO INTEROPERABILITY, QUALITY METRICS AND EDUCATION FOR MEDIA NETWORKING TECHNOLOGIES. THE ORGANIZATION'S MAIN ACTIVITIES INCLUDE: PROVIDING FORUMS TO IDENTIFY ISSUES INVOLVING THE DEVELOPMENT, DEPLOYMENT, OPERATION, AND SECURITY OF MEDIA NETWORKING TECHNOLOGIES AND PROMOTING INTEROPERABILITY BY CONTRIBUTING TOWARDS THE DEVELOPEMENT OF STANDARDS. THE VSF PROVIDES IN-DEPTH TECHNICAL PRESENTATIONS ON KEY AUDIO AND VIDEO ISSUES AT VSF MEETING SERIES MEETINGS(MAY MEETING HOSTED BY PBS AT 2100 CRYSTAL DRIVE IN CRYSTAL CITY, ARLINGTON, VA AND OCTOBER MEETING HOSTED BY VSF AT THE MICROSOFT TECHNOLOGY CENTER, NEW YORK, NY) AND AT VIDTRANS2020 CONFERENCE AND EXPOSITION IN LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA. ALL PAST MEETINGS PRESENTATINS ARE AVAILABLE ON THE VSF SITE FOR MEMBERS TO ACCESS. THE VSF INTEROP ACITIVITY GROUP HELD VARIOS EVENTS (DIRTY HANDS AND PREQUALIFYING WORKSHOPS AT FOX, THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS, USA, RELATED TO NAB2019 AND A PREQUALIFYING WORKSHOP FOR IBC2019 AT RIEDEL COMMUNICATIONS, WUPPERTAL, GERMANY) LEADING UP TO PUBLIC DEMONSTRATIONS OF MULTI-VENDOR INTEROPERABILITY SESSIONS FOR ST2022/ST2059/AES-67/SMPTE ST 2110 SUITE OF PROFESSIONAL MEDIA OVER IP NETWORK STANDARDS. THE VSF RIST ACTIVITY GROUP (RELIABLE INTERNET STREAM TRANSPORT) WAS FORMED IN THE SPRING OF 2017. TO DATE, THE GROUP HAS PRODUCTED AN INITIAL VERSION OF A SPECIFICATION THAT HAS BEEN RELEASED AS TR-06-1. WORK CONTINUES WITHIN THE GROUP TOWARDS DEVELOPING ADDITIONAL RIST SPECIFICATIONS THAT INCLUDE ADDITIONAL FEATURES.
