FOOTPRINTS, INC PROVIDED FOOD AND PERSONAL HYGIENE ITMES TO 364 HOUSEHOLDS WHO MET THE STATE OF MAINE TEMPORARY ASSISTANCE PROGRM INCOME GUIDELINES IN THE TOWNS OF KITTERY, KITTERY POINT AND ELIOT, MAINE. OF THE 364 FAMILIES THAT WERE SERVED THERE WERE OVER 782 INDIVIDUALS INCL 138 THAT HAVE NEVER RECEIVED ASSISTANCE BEFORE, 105 SENIORS SERVED AND 185 CHILDREN SERVED. THERE HAS BEEN A 52 INCREASE IN NEW HOUSEHOLDS SEEKING ASSISTANCE. THE BIGGEST INCREASE IN DEMOGRAPHICS ARE THE OLDER RESIDENTS SEEKING SUPPORT. IF A CLIENT IS HOMEBOUND, WITHOUT A CAR OR UNABLE TO DRIVE, FOOTPRINTS OFFERS A DELIVERY SERVICE. THE CLIENTS MAY RECEIVE FOOD FROM FOOTPRINTS EVERY WEEK IF NEEDED. FOUR DAYS OF FOOD IS PROVIDED WITH EACH VISIT, BASED ON THE SIZE OF THE FAMILY AND COOKING FACILITIES AVAILABLE TO THEM. FOOTPRINTS, INC GOAL IS TO ENSURE THE NEEDY RESIDENTS OF KITTERY, KITTERY POINT AND ELIOT DO NOT GO HUNGRY.
