THE ULTIMATE GOAL OF PORTLAND PORPOISE SWIM CLUB IS TO PROMOTE SWIMMING AND TO ENCOURAGE SWIMMERS TO BE SUCCESSFUL AT THEIR HIGHEST LEVEL OF ABILITY. IT IS PPSC'S VISION TO CREATE STRONG SWIMMERS AS WELL AS OUTSTANDING AND RESPONSIBLE CITIZENS.

Part 3
PPSC HELD 25 SWIM PRACTICES AND 7 DRYLAND PRACTICES PER WEEK TO SUPPORT SWIMMERS AT ALL AGE AND ABILITY LEVELS. PPSC COMPETED IN 18 USA SANCTIONED SWIM MEETS. 3 PPSC TRAINED SWIMMERS ATTENDED SEVERAL SECTIONAL SWIM MEETS.1 PPSC TRAINED SWIMMER ATTENDED A NATIONAL FUTURES MEET.PPSC SWIM COACHES SET INDIVIDUAL GOAL MEETINGS WITH PRE-SENIOR TO SENIOR II LEVELS THAT ENCOURAGES EDUCATIONAL AS WELL AS EMOTIONAL DEVELOPMENT PPSC HELD ONE CLINIC THAT FEATURED OLYMPIC SWIMMER IAN CROCKER, WHO SPOKE ABOUT MEET PREPARATION AND PROPER STROKE TECHNIQUE. PPSC HELD A SECOND CLINIC ON HOW TO MENTALLY PREPARE FOR RACES, HOW TO PERFORM PROPER START/TURNS, AND WHAT IS PROPER NUTRITION FOR GOOD HEALTH AND GOOD PREPARATION FOR COMPETITION.
