VOLUNTEERS MAINTAINING THE APPALACHIAN TRAIL IN MAINE. IN 2023-24, THERE WAS A 5-PERSON CREW FROM MID-MAY THROUGH EARLY OCTOBER, AS WELL AS THE CONSTRUCTION OF THREE NEW PRIVIES AT LEANTO SITES ALONG THE APPALACHIAN TRAIL: CRANBERRY STREAM, FRYE NOTCH AND PIERCE POND.
