Describe the Organization's Mission:
Part 3 - Line 1
THE MISSION OF HABITAT FOR HUMANITY OF CAPE COD IS TO BUILD HOMES, HOPE, LIVES AND COMMUNITY ON CAPE COD IN PARTNERSHIP WITH FAMILIES IN NEED.
Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
Part 3 - Line 4a
DURING FISCAL YEAR 2022, HABITAT FOR HUMANITY OF CAPE COD WAS BUSY BUILDING 6 HOMES IN HARWICH, 10 HOMES IN FALMOUTH AND 2 HOMES IN CHATHAM, ALL UNDER CONSTRUCTION WITH LOCAL VOLUNTEERS AND THE SOON TO BE HOMEOWNERS. THESE HOMES WILL BE SOLD AT AN AFFORDABLE PRICE TO LOW INCOME FAMILIES WITH CRITICAL HOUSING NEEDS. ALL HABITAT HOMES ARE DEED RESTRICTED IN PERPETUITY TO REMAIN AFFORDABLE UPON ANY RESALE. OUR HOMES ARE CURRENTLY BUILT USING MANY ENERGY SAVING MEASURES AND SOLAR PANELS, AND ARE EXPECTED TO ACHIEVED A NET-ZERO, OR CLOSE-TO-ZERO "HERS" (HOME ENERGY RATINGS) RATING. THIS MEANS THE HOMES ARE VERY ENERGY EFFICIENT, MAKING THEM EVEN MORE AFFORDABLE FOR THE NEW HOMEOWNERS. ALSO DURING FISCAL 2022, GROUND WORK AND PERMITTING WORK WAS UNDERWAY FOR 3 HOMES IN SANDWICH, 4 HOMES IN DENNIS AND 6-8 HOMES IN YARMOUTH. OUR RESTORES CONTINUED TO PERFORM BEYOND EXPECTATIONS AND CONTINUED TO RAISE SIGNIFICANT FUNDS FOR THE WORK OF HABITAT, WHILE PROMOTING OUR MISSION, AND ENGAGING EVEN MORE COMMUNITY VOLUNTEERS. BOTH STORES RATE IN THE TOP 5% FOR SALES PER SQUARE FOOT OF ALL THE RESTORES IN THE COUNTRY. HABITAT FOR HUMANITY OF CAPE COD, INC. CONTINUES TO SUSTAIN ITS PROGRAMS AND COMMUNITY IMPACT THROUGH A VERY DIVERSE COMMUNITY-BASED FUNDRAISING STRATEGY, AND WITH THE ENERGETIC INVOLVEMENT OF MANY HUNDREDS OF VOLUNTEERS AND DONORS, WHO GENEROUSLY DEDICATE FUNDS, TIME AND DIVERSE TALENTS TO FURTHERING OUR MISSION.
