TO ENHANCE THE EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE FOR STUDENTS IN THE SOUTH ORANGE/MAPLEWOOD PUBLIC SCHOOLS.
THE ACHIEVE VOLUNTEER TUTOR PROGRAM IS FUNDED JOINTLY BY THE FOUNDATON AND THE SCHOOL DISTRICT. IT RECRUITS, TRAINS, ASSIGNS AND SUPPORTS 300 VOLUNTEER TUTORS, WHO PROVIDED ACADEMIC ASSISTANCE TO 350 STUDENTS WHO ARE AT ACADEMIC RISK AND/OR FROM FAMILIES WITH FINANCIAL NEED. WORKING ALONGSIDE THE SCHOOL DISTRICT'S ACADEMIC INTERVENTION PROGRAM ENABLES ACHIEVE TO TAILOR THE TUTORING TO THE SPECIFIC NEEDS OF THE TUTEES.
THE ACHIEVE FOUNDATION PROMOTES HIGH-QUALITY EDUCATION THAT PREPARES SOUTH ORANGE-MAPLEWOOD SCHOOL DISTRICT STUDENTS FOR THE FUTURE. WE SUPPORT OUR STUDENTS, FAMILIES AND EDUCATORS BY ADDRESSING INEQUITIES, INSPIRING INNOVATION AND FOSTERING COMMUNITY.
