DAVID'S HOUSE OPENED IN 1986 IN MEMORY OF DAVID CYR, WHO PASSED AWAY FROM LEUKEMIA AT AGE FIVE. WE PROVIDE A HOME-AWAY-FROM-HOME AND SUPPORT FOR UP TO 20 FAMILIES AT ONE TIME WITH CHILDREN RECEIVING TREATMENT AT CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL AT DARTMOUTH-HITCHCOCK MEDICAL CENTER (CHAD) IN LEBANON, NH. CHAD IS NEW HAMPSHIRE'S ONLY COMPREHENSIVE, FULL-SERVICE CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL, AND DAVID'S HOUSE IS THE ONLY HOSPITALITY HOUSE IN THE STATE SERVING THE NEEDS OF FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN BEING TREATED THERE. SINCE OPENING, WE HAVE PROVIDED OVERNIGHT ACCOMMODATIONS FOR 16,208 FAMILIES FROM 42 STATES, 2 US TERRITORIES, AND 29 COUNTRIES. THOUSANDS MORE HAVE UTILIZED THE HOUSE ON A DAY GUEST BASIS.
