CONNECTICOSH IS PART OF THE NEW ENGLAND CONSORTIUM. WE EDUCATE AS TO HEALTH AND SAFETY ISSUES FOR HAZARDOUS WASTE WORKERS AND EMERGENCY RESPONDERS. CONNECTICOSH ALSO PROVIDES ERGONOMIC AWARENESS AND TRAINING PROGRAMS. WE ALSO PARTICIPATE IN A CONSORTIUM WHICH INCLUDES VARIOUS OTHER COSH GROUPS IN THE PROTECTING WORKERS WHO EXERCISE RIGHTS "PWWER" PROJECT TO PROVIDE LOCALLY ACCESSIBLE MATERIALS, TRAINING AND EDUCATION TO INCREASE WORKERS KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING OF THEIR RIGHTS UNDER THE OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH ACT AND VARIOUS OTHER LABOR LAWS.


COALITION FOR A SAFE AND HEALTHY CONNECTICUT - WE ARE PART OF A COALITION OF AGENCIES THAT ARE WORKING TO IDENTIFY CHEMICALS THAT CAN BE SUBSTITUTED TO IMPROVE SAFETY IN THE ENVIRONMENT AT HOME AND IN THE WORKPLACE.
