LEGAL AID PROGRAMS: IN 2022 VOLUNTEER LAWYERS PROJECT (VLP) WORKED WITH PRO BONO ATTORNEYS TO SERVE LOW INCOME PEOPLE WITH A WIDE RANGE OF CIVIL LEGAL PROBLEMS, INCLUDING HOUSING, EVICTION, FORECLOSURE, CHILD SUPPORT, BANKRUPTCY, WILLS, GUARDIANSHIP, UNPAID WAGES, AND UNEMPLOYEMENT BENEFITS. IN 2022, VOLUNTEER LAWYERS PROJECT SERVED APPROXIMATELY 7,342 CLIENTS. PARTICIPATING ATTORNEYS DONATED APPROXIMATELY 4,670 PRO BONO HOURS WHICH VLP CONSERVATIVELY VALUES AT $1,751,250. ATTORNEYS VOLUNTEERED AT COURTHOUSE PROJECTS TO PROVIDE ADVICE AND REPRESENTATION IN CONSUMER, HOUSING, GUARDIANSHIP, AND FAMILY MATTERS.
