ADULT JOB TRAINING - TOTAL OF 42,329 CUSTOMERS SERVED AT SOUTHWESTERN CT WORKS JOB CENTERS; 562 WIOA ADULT PARTICIPANTS ASSIGNED INDIVIDUAL TRAINING ACCOUNTS. AMERICAN JOB CENTERS CONTRACTS. THE ORGANIZATION HAS BEEN ENGAGED BY LOCAL WORKFORCE INVESTMENT BOARDS (WIB) IN OTHER STATES TO BE THEIR ONE-STOP OPERATOR AND SERVICE PROVIDER. YOUTH PROGRAMS - THROUGH THE CAREERHUB, WE OFFER SKILLS TRAINING AS WELL AS JOB SEARCH AND PLACEMENT SERVICES. OUR TEAM WILL PROVIDE TOOLS TO HELP YOUNG ADULTS STAY COMPETITIVE IN THE WORKFORCE AND THE INSIGHT AND CONFIDENCE NEEDED TO IMPRESS POTENTIAL EMPLOYERS. YOUNG ADULTS BETWEEN THE AGES OF 16 TO 24 RECEIVE ASSISTANCE WITH CHOOSING AND PREPARING FOR A CAREER THEY CAN BE PROUD OF. THE CAREERHUB HAS A STAFF OF KNOWLEDGEABLE WORKFORCE SPECIALISTS WHO CAN HELP EACH YOUNG PERSON DISCOVER THEIR CAREER INTEREST AND WORK TOWARD ATTAINING THE SKILLS NEEDED TO GAIN EMPLOYMENT. EVERY PARTICIPANT RECEIVES INDIVIDUALIZED ATTENTION AS SERVICES CAN BE TAILORED TO MEET EACH PERSON'S NEEDS AND GOALS. YOUNG ADULTS UP TO AGE 24 LIVING THROUGHOUT SOUTHWESTERN CONNECTICUT CAN APPLY TO PARTICIPATE IN TRAINING PROGRAMS FUNDED BY THE WORKPLACE. SUBJECT TO ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA AND FUNDING AVAILABILITY.
