THE NEW BRITAIN CIVIC ASSOCIATIONS' MISSION IS TO WORK WITH RESIDENTS, BUSINESSES, AND GOVERNMENTS OF NEW BRITAIN BOROUGH AND THE SURROUNDING MUNICIPALITIES TO ENHANCE THE PHYSICAL, CULTURAL, HISTORICAL, ENVIRONMENTAL, RECREATIONAL, AND SOCIAL RESOURCES OF THE COMMUNIY. THIS MISSION WILL PRIMARILY BE ACCOMPLISHED BY MAINTAINING THE COVERED BRIDGE PARK FOR RECREATION PURPOSES, RUNNING A YOUTH SUMMER RECREATION PROGRAM AND BY WORKING WITH AREA INSTITUTIONS AND ORGANIZATIONS TO HELP THE NEEDY, YOUNG AND ELDERLY CITIZENS ENJOY THE PARK AND THEMSELVES.
