SCIENTIFIC MEETINGS - ISSX ORGANIZES DOMESTIC AND INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC MEETINGS TO BRING TOGETHER RESEARCHERS TO ADVANCE THEIR KNOWLEDGE ON THE INTERPLAY OF LIVING SYSTEMS WITH MEDICINES AND CHEMICALS. DUE TO COVID-19, IN THE INTEREST OF THE HEALTH AND SAFETY OF THE PARTICIPANTS AS WELL AS STATE AND LOCAL MANDATES, ISSX CANCELLED ALL IN-PERSON MEETINGS DURING 2020. DURING THE YEAR ENDED DECEMBER 31, 2021, ISSX HELD IT'S SCIENTIFIC MEETING VIRTUALLY.


OTHER PROGRAMS - ISSX AWARD PROGRAMS RECOGNIZE SCIENTIFIC AND SERVICE ACHIEVEMENTS THROUGH THE INTERNATIONAL DISTINGUISHED SCIENTIFIC ACHIEVEMENT AND DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AWARDS, THE REGIONAL SCIENTIFIC AND NEW INVESTIGATOR AWARDS, AND OTHER ACTIVITIES TO PROMOTE RESEARCH AND THE DISSEMINATION OF INFORMATION CONCERNING THE INTERPLAY OF LIVING SYSTEMS WITH MEDICINES AND CHEMICALS.
