THE CENTER EDUCATES POLICY MAKERS ABOUT THE SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC IMPORTANCE OF NON-PROFITS TO THE STATE. THE CENTER ALSO EDUCATES NON-PROFITS ABOUT FEDERAL AND STATE LAWS GOVERNING ADVOCACY SO THAT CHARITABLE NON-PROFITS WILL BE BETTER ABLE TO ENGAGE IN PUBLIC POLICY WORK SAFELY AND EFFECTIVELY.
TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE/CAPACITY BUILDING - ADVANCING KNOWLEDGE AND LEARNING THROUGH MANAGEMENT AND COMPLIANCE ASSISTANCE, WORKSHOPS, TRAINING, PUBLICATIONS, AND INDIVIDUALIZED ASSISTANCE, THE CENTER ADVANCES KNOWLEDGE AND PROMOTES LEARNING TO FOSTER EFFECTIVE, ETHICAL ORGANIZATIONS IN FURTHERANCE OF THE PUBLIC GOOD. BY PROVIDING DIRECT SERVICES AND SERVING AS A GATEWAY TO OTHER RESOURCES FOR NON-PROFITS, THE CENTER HELPS ORGANIZATIONS PURSUE THEIR MISSIONS MORE EFFICIENTLY AND SUCCESSFULLY.
