THE CAPE MAY COUNTY ANIMAL SHELTER SOCIETY PROVIDES A NO KILL FACILITY FOR ANIMALS IN NEED. WE IMPROVE THE LIVES OF ANIMALS IN NEED THROUGH OUR SHELTERING AND ADOPTION CENTER. IN 2022 WE WEREABLE TO COMPLETE ADDITIONAL PROJECTS TO OUR FACILITY WHICH CONSISTED OF REMODELING OF OUR SENIOR CAT AREA, CONSTRUCTION OF AN OUTDOOR AREA FOR CATS, AND REMODELING OF OUR DOG KENNELS. WE ADDITIONALY COMPLETED THREE OUTDOOR PLAY AREAS FOR DOGS, INSTALLED NEW CEILINGS IN THE FRONT OF OUR FACILITY, AND UPGRADED OUR HEATING AND COOLING. IN THE PAST YEAR WE SPENT AN ADDITIONAL 120,000 IN UPGRADES MAKING OUR SHELTER AN AMAZING PLACE FOR OUR RESCUES. DURING THE PRIOR YEAR OVER 31,000 WAS SPENT ON VETERINARY CARE OF OUR ANIMALS AND FOR THOSE NEEDING ASSISTANCE WITH ANIMALS IN OUR LOCAL COMMUNITY. THE HUMANE AND COMPASSIONATE TREATMENT OF CATS AND DOGS IS A PRIMARY OBJECTIVE WITHIN OUR MISSION. WE ADDITIONALLY PROVIDE EDUCATION TO THOSE WITHIN OUR LOCAL COMMUNITY TO PROMOTE COMMUNITY AWARENESS.
