PAKISTAN PROGRAM: PROVIDED FUNDING TO COVER THE TRANSPORTATION COSTS, ADMISSION AND TUITION FEES, AND TO PROVIDE UNIFORMS FOR GIRLS IN THE CHAKWAL DISTRICT OF PAKISTAN TO ATTEND SCHOOL WHO MAY OTHERWISE NOT BE ABLE TO RECEIVE AN EDUCATION DUE TO THE HIGH COST OF TRANSPORTATION FROM THEIR REMOTE VILLAGES TO THE CLOSEST SCHOOLS. OUT OF THE TOTAL EXPENDED $2400 WAS USED TO COVER IN-COUNTRY PROGRAM OVERSIGHT.


PROVISION OF FUNDS TO SUPPORT THE EDUCATION OF STUDENTS SELECTED TO PARTICIPATE IN OUR FISCALLY-SPONSORED PROJECT, PROJECT WEZESHA'S, PROGRAM.


TANZANIA PROGRAM: PROVIDED FUNDING FOR 14 GIRLS TO COVER THE TUITION AND FEES ASSOCIATED WITH THEIR POST-SECONDARY EDUCATION IN FIELDS INCLUDING LAW, MEDICINE, EDUCATION, CLOTHING DESIGN. PROVIDED SUPPORT FOR IN-COUNTRY PROGRAM OVERSIGHT IN THE AMOUNT OF $2,250.


SUPPORT WAS PROVIDED TO SOME STUDENTS IN THE PAKISTAN PROGRAM TO ATTEND A LOCAL CONFERENCE ON EDUCATION, "STRENGTHENING GIRL'S AGENCY AROUND SECONDARY EDUCATION THROUGH TRAINING, ADVOCACY AND POLICY REFORMS", WHERE THEY LISTENED TO PRESENTATIONS ON THE IMPACT OF EDUCATING GIRLS AND WORKED WITH COMMUNITY LEADERS TO IDENTIFY IMPEDIMENTS TO GIRLS' EDUCATION AND THEIR POTENTIAL REMEDIES.
