GUNNISON COUNTRY FOOD PANTRY SERVES THOSE IN NEED BY PROVIDING FOOD ASSISTANCE IN A KIND, CONFIDENTIAL AND SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT.

GUNNISON COUNTRY FOOD PANTRY IS EVERYONE'S SAFETY NET. THE PANTRY'S MISSION IS TO PROVIDE FOOD ASSISTANCE TO THOSE IN NEED IN A KIND, CONFIDENT, AND SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT. 265 VOLUNTEERS DONATED 8,850 HOURS AND OVER 900 DONORS GAVE, TO PREVENT MORE THAN 2,500 PEOPLE FROM GOING HUNGRY IN GUNNISON COUNTY IN 2023. OF THE 2,185 INDIVIDUALS SERVED VIA SHOPPING HOURS, 503 WERE CHILDREN, 1,422 WERE ADULTS, AND 240 ADULTS 60+. THE PANTRY PROVIDES LOW-BARRIER FOOD ASSISTANCE TO EVERYONE WHO ASKS FOR HELP. ADDITIONALLY, THE FOOD PANTRY HAS OUTREACH EFFORTS TAILORED TO CHILDREN, HISPANIC AND CORA POPULATIONS, AND ADULTS 60+. NO PROOF OF IDENTIFICATION, RESIDENCY, OR INCOME IS NEEDED TO RECEIVE PANTRY SERVICES.
