THE MISSION OF LUNA'S HOUSE, INC. IS TO INSTILL IN MEMBERS OF OUR COMMUNITY (AND BEYOND) COMPASSION AND RESPECT FOR ANIMALS THROUGH HUMANE EDUCATION; TO PROVIDE RESOURCES FOR ANIMAL GUARDIANS AND OTHER CITIZENS INTERESTED IN ANIMAL WELFARE ISSUES; TO FOSTER THE INNATE CONNECTION BETWEEN HUMANS AND ANIMALS BY RECOGNIZING, ACKNOWLEDGING, AND VALUING EVERY ANIMAL AS A DISTINCT INDIVIDUAL; TO PROVIDE COMPASSIONATE AND APPROPRIATE TREATMENT TO COMPANION ANIMALS IN NEED; TO DETERMINE THE BEST COURSE OF CARE FOR EACH ANIMAL AND ACCORDINGLY PLACE EACH INTO THE SITUATION MOST CONDUCIVE TO HIS/HER ONGOING COMFORT AND WELL-BEING.

DURING 2022, LUNA'S HOUSE PLACED FOR ADOPTION APPROXIMATELY 131 COMPANION ANIMALS OF VARIOUS SPECIES INTO LOVING HOMES. ALL ANIMALS IN LUNA'S HOUSE ADOPTION PROGRAMS WERE PROVIDED WITH HIGH QUALITY VETERINARY CARE (INCLUDING SPAY AND NEUTER SURGERY, AS APPROPRIATE BY SPECIES), HOLISTIC FOODS, CLIMATE-CONTROLLED ENCLOSURES, AND SUPPLEMENTAL ENRICHMENT MATERIALS AND SERVICES. LUNA'S HOUSE COMPLETED ITS SEVENTH YEAR OF OPERATION IN ITS CENTRAL FACILITY, THE LUNA'S HOUSE ANIMAL CARE AND EDUCATION CENTER. IN ADDITION TO ANIMAL CARE AND ADOPTIVE SERVICES, LUNA'S HOUSE HOSTED EDUCATIONAL TOURS OF THE FACILITY FOR A VARIETY OF COMMUNITY GROUPS.
