IN THE 2019-2020 FISCAL YEAR, THE AMERICAN ROMANIAN FESTIVAL INC. ORGANIZED A SERIES OF CONCERTS IN THE ANN ARBOR- DETROIT AREA UNTIL THE CURRENT PANDEMIC LED TO CONCERT CANCELLATIONS STARTING MARCH 2020. THE FESTIVAL FEATURED AMERICAN MUSICIANS IN CHAMBER MUSIC CONCERTS AS WELL AS ROMANIAN GUEST ARTISTS. THE PRIMARY COLLABORATIONS WERE WITH WAYNE STATE UNIVERSITY DEPARTMENT OF MUSIC AND THE STEINWAY GALLERY DETROIT. THERE WERE A TOTAL OF 9 CHAMBER MUSIC CONCERTS PLANNED, TWO MASTER CLASSES, AND A SYMPHONIC CONCERT FEATURING AMERICAN AND ROMANIAN COMPOSERS WITH THE WAYNE STATE ORCHESTRA. THE ACTUAL NUMBER OF PERFORMANCES WAS REDUCED TO ONLY 5 DUE TO THE COVID 19 EPIDEMIC.
