ASIAN SERVICES IN ACTION INC'S MISSION IS TO EMPOWER ASIAN AMERICANS AND PACIFIC ISLANDERS IN NORTHEAST OHIO TO ACCESS QUALITY CULTURAL AND LINGUISTICALLY APPROPRIATE INFORMATION AND SERVICES. THESE ACCOMPLISHMENTS ARE ACHIEVED BY VARIOUS PROGRAMS DESIGNED TO EDUCATE IMMIGRANT AND REFUGEE FAMILIES ABOUT AVOIDING SUBSTANCE ABUSE, MAKING HEALTHY LIFESTYLE CHOICES, ENGAGING IN TEEN AND SENIOR CITIZEN WELLNESS ACTIVITIES AND OPPORTUNITIES, AND TOBACCO USE PREVENTION. NEW AND ENHANCED SERVICES ARE CONTINUALLY ADDED ON AN ANNUAL BASIS. SENIOR CITIZENS ARE ENCOURAGED TO AVOID ISOLATION AND TO PARTICIPATE IN SOCIAL FUNCTIONS, FIELD TRIPS, EXERCISE PROGRAMS, AND PERSONAL HEALTH MATTERS.
