IN ADDITION TO OUR SOUP KITCHENS WE USUALLY HELP EACH YEAR WITH MEDICAL EXPENSES FOR SOME OF THE PEOPLE WHO CANNOT AFFORD TO PAY ON THEIR OWN. THIS YEAR WE SPENT MORE THAN USUAL AS WE HELPED WITH MAJOR SURGERY FOR ONE CANCER PATIENT.
THESE EXPENSES REPRESENT THE COST WE INCUR TO HOUSE TRANSPORT AND FEED OUR VOLUNTEERS WHO JOIN US FOR WEEK LONG TRIPS TO OUR CENTER IN NOGALES AND ALSO THE COST OF ENGAGING OUR VOLUNTEERS IN THE US.
