TEENS TO TRAILS WORKS WITH MAINES MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOLS TO BUILD MEANINGFUL RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN STUDENTS, CARING ADULTS AND THE NATURAL WORLD WHILE SHARING FUN OUTDOOR EXPERIENCES. WE PROVIDE TRAINING, FINANCIAL SUPPORT, AND RELIABLE RESOURCES TO OPERATE AN OUTDOOR CLUB AND BRING THE OUTDOORS INTO THE SCHOOL DAY.
LIFE HAPPENS OUTSIDE CHALLENGE: MAINE MIDDLE SCHOOLS (ARE CHALLENGED TO SPEND AS MANY MINUTES OUTSIDE AS THEY CAN FOR THE FINAL WEEK OF OCTOBER. ALL OUTDOOR ACTIVITY COUNTS! WINNING SCHOOLS EARN CASH TO INVEST IN MORE OUTDOOR PROGRAMS, AS WELL AS COPIOUS PR TO DRAW ATTENTION TO THE BENEFITS OF TIME SPENT OUTSIDE.
SARAS SCHOLARSHIP IS AN INVESTMENT IN A TEENS CONNECTION TO THE OUTDOORS. THIS AWARD ENABLES AN IMMERSIVE SUMMER LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE, OFFERED IN PARTNERSHIP WITH SOME OF MAINES BEST EXPEDITION CAMPS.
