BJX IS A HOME AWAY FROM HOME FOR UNAFFILIATED JEWISH COLLEGE STUDENTS AND YOUNG PROFESSIONALS. WE OFFER DAILY CLASSES IN JEWISH BIBLE, LAW ,TALMUD, ETHICS AND TRADITION. OUR FACILITIES PROVIDE A CHIC, YET WARM AND TOLERANT ENVIRONMENT THAT MAKES EVERYONE FEEL LIKE THEY BELONG AS PART OF THE JEWISH PEOPLE AND AS A SPRINGBOARD FOR CONTINUED GROWTH.

BJX OFFERS THROUGH ITS TWO EDUCATIONAL CENTERS DAILY CLASSES, STIMULATING SOCIAL PROGRAMS, NETWORKING EVENTS AND EDUCATIONAL SEMINARS. HUNDREDS OF COLLEGIATE AND YOUNG JEWISH PROFESSIONALS HAVE ATTENDED OUR CRASH COURSE IN CONVERSATIONAL HEBREW AND OUR BEAUTIFUL HOLIDAY AND SHABBAT DINNERS. OVER 150 ATTENDED OUR FREE HIGH HOLIDAY SERVICES. WE PROVIDE A WARM ENVIRONMENT FOR JEWISH COLLEGE STUDENTS AND YOUNG PROFESSIONALS TO LEARN MORE ABOUT THEIR HERITAGE AT THEIR OWN PACE.
BJX VOCATIONAL PROGRAM IS A UNIQUE SUMMER TEENS AT RISK PROGRAM. TEENS WHO WOULD BE ON THE STREET ARE PROVIDED JOBS FROM 9AM-5PM AND ATTEND OUR CENTER FOR DAILY BREAKFAST, MOTIVATIONAL STUDY AND DINNER. THE BJX TEEN PROGRAM SERVICES ADOLESCENTS AND YOUNG ADULTS. MANY OF THEM HAVE DROPPED OUT OR HAVE BEEN EXPELLED FROM SCHOOL. MOST HAVE SUBSTANCE ABUSE AND ADDICTION ISSUES. BJX TEEN PROGRAM PROVIDES A VARIETY OF PROGRAMS TO FACILITATE THESE ADOLESCENTS AND YOUNG ADULTS. THERE ARE EVENING LEARNING PROGRAMS WHERE THE BOYS ARE PAIRED WITH MENTORS, PROVIDING THEM WITH HEALTHY ROLE MODELS. WE GET THEM BACK INTO SCHOOL, OR FIND JOBS FOR THEM AND THEREBY HELP MAINTAIN A HEALTHY DAY STRUCTURE. SPECIAL EMPHASIS IS PLACED ON BUILDING SELF CONFIDENCE AND ENHANCING BASIC LIFE SKILLS. OUR DAYTIME PROGRAM OFFERS MENTORING AND RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES GEARED TOWARDS THE AFOREMENTIONED GOALS OF BUILDING SELF CONFIDENCE, AND ENHANCING BASIC LIFE SKILLS, TO FACILITATE THEIR SUCCESS IN THEIR SCHOOL OR JOB. BJX SERVICES OVER 150 KIDS IN THE VARIOUS BJX TEEN PROGRAMS.
