Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
Part 3 - Line 4a
MISSION OBJECTIVE: AWARENESS AS PART OF OUR AWARENESS OBJECTIVE, THE JOANNA MCAFEE CHILDHOOD CANCER FOUNDATION MAKES THE GENERAL PUBLIC AWARE OF HOW HARD CHILDHOOD CANCER CHILDREN FIGHT, EVEN WHEN FACED WITH INSURMOUNTABLE ODDS. WE ALSO MAKE THE PUBLIC AWARE OF HOW MUCH WORK REMAINS TO BE DONE TO ADVANCE THE SEARCH FOR A CURE. ALTHOUGH STRIDES HAVE BEEN MADE, SURVIVAL RATES REMAIN VERY LOW FOR MANY CHILDHOOD CANCERS.
MISSION OBJECTIVE: SUPPORT AS PART OF THE SUPPORT OBJECTIVE, THE JOANNA MCAFEE CHILDHOOD CANCER FOUNDATION PROVIDES DIRECT FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO AILING CHILDREN FROM THE DIFFICULTIES AND CHALLENGES OF HAVING CANCER. WE HELP THE FAMILIES WHO LOVE, NURTURE AND HURT FOR THEIR CHILDREN. THE HARD REALITY IS THAT CURRENT TREATMENT PROTOCOLS AND CLINICAL TRIALS WILL NOT CURE MANY OF THE CHILDREN OF THEIR CANCER. THESES FAMILIES NEED OUR HELP TODAY.
MISSION OBJECTIVE: RESEARCH AS PART OF THE RESEARCH OBJECTIVE, THE JOANNA MCAFEE CHILDHOOD CANCER FOUNDATION PROVIDES GRANTS TO INSTITUTIONS THAT CONDUCT RESEARCH FOR CHILDHOOD CANCER. FUNDING RESEARCH REPRESENTS THE GREATEST PROMISE FOR FINDING A CURE FOR CHILDHOOD CANCER. CHILDREN DESERVE MORE THAN JUST TREATMENT OPTIONS, THEY DESERVE A CURE AND HOPE FOR TOMORROW.
