IOWA PUBLIC RADIO IPR WAS CREATED BY THE IOWA BOARD OF REGENTS TO MANAGE THE RADIO GROUPS OF IOWA STATE UNIVERSITY THE UNIVERSITY OF IOWA AND THE UNIVERSITY OF NORTHERN IOWA. THE STATEWIDE PUBLIC RADIO NETWORK A TOTAL OF 26 STATIONS NOW SERVES 250,000 LISTENERS WITH THREE PROGRAMMING STREAMS: NEWS NEWS STUDIO ONE AND CLASSICAL. IPR'S COMBINED RADIO GROUPS SERVE RURAL AND URBAN IOWA TOUCHING ALL OF IOWA'S 99 COUNTIES. IPR NEWS AND TALK SHOWS INFORM WITH REPORTING THAT IS BALANCED INTELLIGENT RESPECTFUL AND INTRIGUING. IPR HOSTS TWO LOCALLY PRODUCED TALK SHOWS INCLUDING 'TALK OF IOWA' WHICH OFFERS A MIX OF REGULAR GUESTS NEWSMAKERS AND INTERESTING IOWANS TO TALK ABOUT ART CULTURE HUMANITIES AND LIFESTYLE IN IOWA. 'RIVER TO RIVER' FOCUSES ON NEWS ISSUES AND EVENTS IN THE STATE OF IOWA.
