CATALYST IS A CHAMPION OF INDEPENDENT ARTISTS AND A CURATOR OF NARRATIVE STORIES WHOSE MISSION IS TO ADVANCE ARTISTIC CAREERS, AND AUDIO, VISUAL AND LITERARY WORKS.

THE 2021 CATALYST CONTENT FESTIVAL TOOK PLACE SEPT 29-OCT 2, 2021. APPROXIMATELY 700 CONTENT CREATORS, INDUSTRY EXECUTIVES, AND GENERAL PUBLIC AUDIENCE WERE IN ATTENDANCE THROUGHOUT. OVER 75 SHOWS WERE SCREENED, 25 SCRIPTS PRESENTED, 7 PODCASTS PLAYED, AND 30 PITCHES SHOWCASED. IT ALSO INCLUDED 17 EDUCATIONAL PANELS, SEMINARS, AND WORKSHOPS. MANY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS WERE FOSTERED DURING THIS EVENT THAT CONTINUE TO ADVANCE ARTISTS' CAREERS. THE MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT WAS THE LAUNCH OF OUR NEW MENTORSHIP PROGRAM WITH THE NATIONAL ACADMEY OF TV ARTS & SCIENCES (NATAS).
OVER 200 STUDENTS WERE ENROLLED IN 2021. THE INSTITUTE PROCESS GAVE EACH STUDENT AT LEAST 1-HOUR OF 1-ON-1 DIRECT MENTORSHIP AND OVER 30 HOURS OF INDUSTRY KNOWLEDGE SEMINARS, PLUS GROUP SESSIONS WITH OTHER ARTISTS. ALL ENROLLED STUDENTS WERE EXTENDED THROUGH TO THE END OF 2021 DUE TO THE IMPACT OF COVID-19. WE SUCCESSFULLY LAUNCHED OUR INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE THROUGH A PARTNERSHIP WITH THE KOREA FOUNDATION. NEARLY A DOZEN KOREAN CONTENT CREATORS AND REPRESENTATIVES WERE IN ATTENDANCE AND SHOWCASED THEIR WORKS.
